58, of Providence died on October 1st, 2018. Born in Sao Nicolau, Cape Verde Island, she was the beloved daughter of Clara Martins of Providence and the late Antonio da Cruz. She is survived by her husband Francisco Dos Santos. Besides her mother and husband she is survived by her daughters Sharon Monteiro and her partner Christopher R. Nyahkoon and Shonica Monteiro both of Providence. She is survived by her beloved grandson Christopher R. "CJ" Nyahkoon Jr. whom she very much adored.

She is survived by her siblings, Jose, Antonio and Aguinaldo da Cruz all of Providence, Pedro da Cruz of North Providence;Herculano, Amilcar and Salvador da Cruz of Cape Verde Islands, Maria Dos Santos, Ilda Lopes and Felisbela da Cruz of Providence, Amelia Dos Santos of Pawtucket, Armanda and Filomena da Cruz of Cape Verde Islands. She was the sister of the late Orlando and Salvador da Cruz. She is survived by many godchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She worked at Charlesgate Nursing Center for twenty three years. Her smile and infectious personality will be greatly missed.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, October 6th at 8:30 AM from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave Lincoln, RI 02865. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM in the Holy Name Of Jesus Church, 99 Camp St , Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5-8pm.
